We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Jenna French, a talented Professional Photographer, on a series of delicious images highlighting the quality and provenance of our grass fed and finished, regeneratively farmed proteins.
Jenna, a long term customer of Dirty Clean Food, reached out to explore building out her food styling and photography portfolio by showcasing our lamb, chicken and beef cuts, and we cannot wait to show you the results from your fellow creative and passionate Regen Warrior. Keep reading to find out more about Jenna's favourite DCF cuts, her experience as a customer, and get ready to drool over these mouthwatering, stunning images.

Please tell us a little about yourself – how you found DCF, how you became a customer, your interest in photography, and what is important to you.
I initially found DCF on my local IGA supermarket’s shelves, and eventually started to follow them on Instagram. When I then discovered that the entirety of their range was available online for delivery to my doorstep, this felt like striking gold as a mother to a brand new baby!
I’ve loved taking photos since I was a little girl, since the days of disposable Kodak cameras. When Instagram first launched I discovered that photography was a passion (and a profession) shared by people all around the world. While I studied and worked in my early-to-mid twenties, I continued to tend to my love for photography as merely a hobby. But when I became a parent, and my vision for how I wanted my career to look transformed so that I could prioritise motherhood, I decided to try and turn this creative pursuit into a professional venture.
Nothing is more important to me than my family and my family’s health, and starting my photography business has enabled me to maximise the time I have to spend with my son while providing a creative outlet. Along with spending as much time as we can in Perth’s sunshine and stunning natural environment, DCF plays a foundational role in providing the nutritional foundation for our health with its range of regeneratively farmed produce. We are so grateful for the work of our local farmers who go the extra mile (or several!) to provide the highest quality meat for families like ours.
Picking a single favourite would be impossible - any kind of fresh red meat is a joy to photograph. It’s bold, textural, and such fun to style and shoot both raw and then cooked! Perhaps the most unexpected insight I can offer about photographing food is that as mouthwatering as it looks, it’s almost always not edible. Preparation, styling, and shooting is a meticulous process that takes hours at room temperature, and meat especially is often undercooked to prevent it from looking too dry on camera.
‘Regenerative agriculture is an ecological approach to farming that allows landscapes to renew themselves.’
What is your favourite/regular order from Dirty Clean Food and what would you recommend if someone hasn’t tried Dirty Clean Food products yet?
My regular order is never without slow-cooked cuts — think shank, osso buco, beef cheeks, and diced chuck steak. I also love making broths and stock to form the base of my slow-cooked dishes using chicken frames and feet, beef bones, and marrow. Yum! And on that note, I would recommend you try sourcing offal from DCF (if you dare!). Offal meats are not only so underrated in how incredibly nutritious they are, but they taste absolutely amazing when they are well prepared and well sourced from DCFs community of local farmers. But if you’re feeling a little less adventurous, their pasture-raised whole chickens are the most delicious I’ve found in Perth for a hearty soup or a Sunday roast.
Where can people find you and your work?
You can find me documenting my health journey and DCF-based meals at @jennacawthray on Instagram. If you’d like to see more of my photographic work, I can be found at @jennafrenchphoto and www.jennafrench.com.
