Meat Processing Facility Now In at HQ
This is Greg, who heads up our Meat Processing Facility. Greg has made two big moves in the past few months. The first was across the country from Queensland to be nearer his son and 1-year-old granddaughter
And the second? Moving with his team into our brand-new purpose-built meat processing room in Kewdale HQ!
Greg has been a butcher for over 40 years, which includes running his own butcher and deli on the Gold Coast for 17 years.
It was our focus on regeneratively farmed produce that attracted Greg to Dirty Clean Food and the quality of the meat which he thinks is second to none.
So, what’s Greg’s favourite cut? "I can’t go past the lamb shanks. Our lamb is delicious, it has so much flavour."
Over four tonne of beef, lamb, pork and chicken is processed in this room each week by a team of 12 and is distributed to retailers, restaurants and food service and our online customers. So, as you can imagine, this room is a hive of activity throughout the week.
We make our own burgers, sausages, koftas and mince on site, and having our own facility allows us to expand our offering to you.
For starters, we can now offer freshly cut, ready to cook steaks to our online customers! Our meat and poultry for our online store is snap frozen immediately after processing to retain its freshness for you. However, now that our meat is processed in Kewdale, we are able to launch a selection of steaks that can be cut one day and delivered to you the next. So you can serve up your favourite Eye Fillet, Porterhouse or Scotch Fillet for dinner right after your order arrives.
