Grass Fed and Finished Lamb Backstrap is a premium lean cut of lamb with a slightly milder flavour than leg of lamb. With little to no fat content, this cut should be quickly grilled, BBQ or pan-fried for a meltingly tender texture. Slice and add to salad or stir fry for a healthy mid-week meal.

Our 100% grass fed and finished lamb is regeneratively farmed.

Allergen declaration: none 

Bring to room temperature 15 minutes prior to cooking. Grill 3 minutes on each side. Remove and rest for 5 minutes before serving.

This product is frozen for your convenience. Keep frozen below -18°C. Thaw overnight in the fridge (<5 degrees Celsius) prior to cooking

Lamb Backstrap

Delicious. Had as our Christmas lunch. Seared in pann. Each backstrap covered with a breadcrumb/bacon/garlic/pistachio/oil crust before going into 200C oven for a short time. Sliced, served with a redline port/recurrant/cranberry/rosemary jus. Accompanied by hasselback potatoes, peas and a sweet potato/burnt butter/sage/cream bake. Seriously delicious! Forgot to take a photo, but attached gives you some idea!

Delicious!

This lamb backstrap is so succulent and delicious. I cover with olive oil, salt, crushed garlic and rosemary and grill it to medium rare.
