The crowd favourite...

Mount Zero Australian Chickpeas are the premium Kabuli variety (originating in Afghanistan), which are known for being larger in size and creamier in colour and texture. As with almost any legume, chickpeas are much better cooked from dry seed rather than from a can, as they have a sweeter flavour and superior texture.

May be present: gluten

Certified Organic by the Biodynamic Research Institute, these kabuli chickpeas are creamy in colour and nutty in flavour. Great for hummus, a quick addition to your salads, slow cooker or great on its own.

The Mount Zero story began in 1946, when farmer and entrepreneur, Jacob Friedman, recognised the Wimmera/Grampians region as prime olive-growing country and began planting some of the first commercial olive groves in Australia. Today Mount Zero draws on produce from the Wimmera and Grampians region, as well as select olive groves across Victoria. Commitment to flavour, sustainable farming and a passion for quality ingredients defines Mount Zero.

With over 80 years of history, family-owned Mount Zero practices bio-dynamic farming techniques and are international Demeter Bio-Dynamic certified.
