People and Culture Manager

Wide Open Agriculture (WOA) is Australia’s leading ASX-listed regenerative food and agriculture company. As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a critical role in building a company culture that reflects the values of our 4 Returns Framework and our commitment to building a positive work environment for all employees. The People and Culture Manager is an exciting opportunity to build a community of colleagues who can grow and collaborate in a positive and progressive workplace. The role will be a first point of contact for recruiting a diverse workforce, the primary resource for new and existing employees for Human Resources questions and feedback, will be developing and implementing HR strategies at the company.

  • Recruit amazing new team members to fill roles throughout the team including drafting job advertisements, job descriptions, and managing prospective candidates throughout the recruitment process including offers and contracts through successful onboarding of new hires
  • Support people managers’ with employee relations issues
  • Champion WOA’s diversity and inclusion efforts through helping support and build an inclusive workplace everyday and engaging external support where appropriate
  • Manage employee communications and encourage two way communication with employees to help gather feedback on our workplace
  • Plan and organise internal staff events and team building to help support an engaging and inclusive workplace
  • Review, implement and monitor HR related policy and procedures that align with WOA’s culture and compliance needs
  • Recommend, implement and monitor use of employee benefits including recommendations based on employee feedback
  • Recommend, implement, oversee and monitor digital HRIS solutions that provide smart and efficient human resource solutions
  • Recommend and engage with HR service providers, including IR specialists and EAP providers
  • Review and recommend employee remuneration
  • Liaise with Finance team as needed including payroll related issues
  • Implement and monitor HR related programs and frameworks – including training and development, volunteering, graduate programs and internships
  • Oversee workers’ compensation claims and related processes


We are seeking candidates with 3+ years work experience and a background in at least one of the following areas:
