Bass Groper (also known as grouper in other countries) is renowned and highly sought after for its moist texture and cleanliness of flesh. It has firm and large flake white meat. This is an extremely mild flavoured fish with a beautiful texture that melts in your mouth.

Perfect for crumbing and frying, level up your fish and chips game! Otherwise, a Catonese favourite would be to steam the fillet for 7-10 mins and serve with chopped ginger, scallions and cilantro on top. Finish off by pouring 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and drizzle sesame oil over. Serve alongside steamed rice and vegetables.
