North Street Store Berbere Lamb Family Pie (approx. 1.5kg, Serves 6)
Berbere is a traditional Ethiopian spice blend made from chilles, garlic, fenugreek and a handful of warm spices, like allspice and cinnamon. The result is a fiery, bright-red blend that tastes equal parts barbecue, curry and Southwestern steak rub - spicy, sweet, and citrus notes in a crazy flavour hit. This works beautifully with tender, slow simmered grass fed lamb from DCF, with the spicy aromatic flavours perfectly complimented by the crisp, hand-made buttery puff pastry.
Simply heat and eat with seasonal veggies or salad for a family meal that is sure to please.
Ingredients:
Grass Fed Lamb (36%), Butter, Wheat Flour, Meat Stock, Carrots, Chickpeas, Onions, Water, Olive Oil, Tomato Paste, Spices, Garlic, Cornflour, Salt, Egg Glaze
Allergens: Contains Dairy, Gluten and Egg
Heating instructions:
- Defrost overnight in fridge
- Preheat fan forced oven to 160°C
- Remove packaging, leaving only the foil tray
- Cook in oven for 45-50 minutes; slice to serve
