Low and Slow
Feel confident buying and cooking these economical cuts and experiment a bit. Many of the fatty, textured bone-in cuts are ideal for long, slow cooking because they have plenty of flavour and retain moisture. When it comes to these cuts, there's just as much difference between top quality product and lower grade as you'd see in steaks - it makes a massive difference where the beef & lamb comes from and how it was raised.
Make the most of this bundle of budget-friendly products by braising, stewing, grilling or roasting to make these tasty cuts of meat meltingly tender. Pair them with peas, carrots, beans, brussels sprouts or any hearty wintry veg, along with some roasted spuds and a nice glass of Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Ah winter!
