Hamlet Pork
Catherine and Luke use regenerative farming principles to produce the best chemical-free, pasture-raised Berkshire pork that is also free of hormones and antibiotics. They are treated with the utmost respect, enjoying an enviable diet of pasture, high protein pellets, fresh macadamia nuts from the farm orchard and surplus in-season organic plums and apples. Pasture raised pork has a great nutrient quality as the pigs like humans synthesize vitamin D in their skin and fat when exposed to sunshine.
Inspired by the local Italian culture in Waroona and the difficulty in sourcing tasty pork locally, Luke extensively researched different breeds of pigs and found a farmer in Western Australia that bred Berkshires. Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed with a gentle nature that produces pork that is clean and succulent - unlike any other! The “Wagu” of the pork world has a rich, sweet, buttery flavour that is perfect for succulent pork cuts, GF sausages, pork riblets, nitrate-free bacon and smallgoods.

Jindong Pork
Jindong Free Range Pork is raised and produced on our family farm in Jindong (located between Busselton and Cowaramup). Our philosophy is for customers to eat local, knowing and appreciating where their food comes from, to get to know their farmer, cook using all parts of the animal and to enjoy good quality, humanely treated pork that also tastes amazing. From farrow to feast.
Our business started in 2010 when we purchased a couple of pigs with a goal of becoming self-sufficient. All our breeding stock originate from these first few piglets being a composite breed of Berkshire, Saddle Back and Duroc. In 2016 we purchased 50 acres to set up a regenerative pig and sheep farm. It is now fenced in 2-3 acre paddocks with a central lane way which makes it easy to move and to rotate animals through the paddocks, a must with pigs’ ability to destroy land very quickly!
Our pigs are unique in that we don’t feed them any commercial grains or pellets. Their diet includes local waste stream products such as brewers’ grain from our many local craft breweries and apple pulp from a local cidery, as well as waste potatoes from James’ brother. The resultant pork has a deep rich dark colour and intense flavour. Our small goods are all cured naturally with salt, sugar, smoke and are nitrate and chemical free.
